JKEDI Director Inaugurates Entrepreneurship Development Program at Reasi & Budgam

Budgam, October 28 (KNN) A 10-day Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) for women started in Reasi and Budgam districts on 27 October.

The development program was inaugurated by the director of the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Ajaz Ahmad Bhat.

The main objective of this program is to empower and encourage women to create income-generating units through manufacturing, service or commercial activities.

Candidates will undergo training focused on personal development, basic business skills, business and marketing plan formulation, account management, and industry-specific technical inputs.

During her speech, Bhat emphasized the need for inclusive growth through the empowerment of women and the inclusion of tribal, backward and frontier people in nation building.

Upon successful completion of the training program, these registered candidates will receive assistance in establishing or expanding an existing business.

Trained female applicants will also be facilitated to avail financial aid in the amount of Rs 5.00 lakh.

Through this initiative, women will be able to improve their socio-economic status and become more involved in nation building. (KNN Office)
